Question So for around 3 years I have ran my GPU like this. Is this not OK?

For anyone confused the "pig tail" ends of the VGA Cables are plugged into the PSU and the single ends I have running to the GPU.

Never had an issue while gaming. I have a few top scores on Port Royal. I game sometimes for 12 hours plus at one session. Am I hurting performance? Is this dangerous? I never considered it being bad because both ends are made the same and plug in with ease.

Power Supply is an EVGA 1000w Supernova GT 80 Gold and 3080ti

If anything you are lucky the orientation that the wires/pins are not flipped all around on the power supply side.

I don't get it but from one power supply company to the next the way the pins are on the power supply side are non standard. The side that plugs into the PC or GPU and the hard drive is correct but not always normal off the power supply.

I have an old Antec power supply that if I flipped the PCI-E wire around like you have I would have fried the GPU.
