i brought a computer on newegg it came and there was a expansion slot already missing. i tried to play games on i cant even play steam games on it unless i put everything to low settings. i talked to the people on the live chat they issued my RMA refund but im just wondering if i can get my refund when i ship it back because i had to make an outlook email in order to start up the computer they told me to factory reset the computer if i do is that going to be a violation of the refund policy?

as far as "low" settings is concerned, it could just be that you bought a very low end computer. without telling us what exactly you purchased we can only assume as much.

not sure what you mean by making an outlook email. i'm thinking you are referring to the email address required by microsoft for windows 8 when you first log on (well, unless you make it a local account only). this would be similar on any pc running windows 8 which gets tied to your account. you can still return a pc even if you created an account on the pc.

if the pc is brand new, you should not have to factory-reset the pc in order to use it though they may suggest a factory reset before you ship it back to them in order to clear your information off of it (not...

expansion slot missing? are you referring to one of the cover brackets which are normally in place on unused pci slots or something else? generally these shouldnt be missing though its not a huge deal if they are (they should send a replacement if they were missing)

i'm thinking that you might have just believed in the so-called low cost "gaming" computers i've seen floating around. basically a low end system that they throw the tagline "gaming" on to make it sell. i cannot say for sure without more information, but this is what i'm thinking.
