I'm sorry but I'm new so i don't understand most of this but will the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X be compatible with the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT ?
And if so could someone help me with suggestions of other parts needed 🙏🏾

Any particular reason you chose those 2 parts?

What country are you in?

What vendor will you buy from?

How much can you spend at most?

What are the 2 or 3 primary purposes of the PC?

Which of these parts will you buy?

Case
Case fans
Motherboard
Power supply
CPU
CPU cooler
RAM
SSDs
Hard drives
Windows 10 or 11
Video card
Thermal paste
Anything else

Do you already have these parts? On the 1st part of your question, yes they are compatible, you can build around them.

As for what else you need, you need everything that goes into building a PC. But starting with the basics, to be compatible you need a AM4 socket motherboard with a chipset that will run a R5 3600x, a B450 or B550 are the most common. Then you need DDR4 RAM and you want 2 separate modules, probably 2X8GB 3600 CL16.

On top of this you need a case, cpu cooler, storage drive/s and a good power supply of around 650w.

Does it matter which cpu cooler, storage drive, or power supply I buy or do I need specific ones to accommodate each other

I don't have them but they're in mind, but with your help i did find something and if I could get an opinion as for reliability and/or functionality that would be very appreciated

In which case, forget about the 3600x, it's old and overpriced. The 5600/5600x is a much better choice and works on the B550 board you chose. Your build looks alright, it would work just fine....just drop the 3600x for the 5600/x

Would it still work fine if I stay with the 3600 because I already bought it and want to know if i have to cancel. And if I swapped to the 5600(x) do i need to change any other parts to accommodate it ?

Either CPU will work just fine on the build. However, the 5600(x) is a generation later than the 3600x so it performs better, and it's cheaper than what you're paying for the 3600x. So if you can cancel the 3600x and get a 5600, then you'll be saving money and getting a better CPU.
