Yeah, Kreskin performed on the Tonight Show. He was good. Johnny was an icon. I saw the Tonight show in person back in '85. Joan Rivers sat in for him that night. have seen Leno do the show live several times. He appears to be bored with it. I'm no longer a fan for many years. Regarding my likness to kreskin...all those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand.

I can't believe I didn't find this thread earlier. Books are great!
I've been reading through the Space Trilogy by C.S. Lewis - first book is so-so, but the second (Perlandra) is awesome. I think the third will be good too.

Also, just got the Suma Theologia for my birthday - that will be an interesting read.

For little known books, Sylvie and Bruno by Lewis Carrol is an interesting read.
And for a good non-fiction book, try The Silent World by Jaques Cousteau. It talks about how he invented the aqualung in wartime France, and different adventures he had with it. The Living Sea is another good one by him.

Isn't Lewis also the Chronicles of Narnia series author?

As for Cousteau, never did read his book(s) but I used to watch his PBS series a couple decades ago. IIRC his first regulator was derived from a motorcycle carburetor, and basically used a small needle nozzle to reduce the tank pressure with a free flow to the mouthpiece and then back up the 2nd hose to the tank neck. Quite wasteful. He then added a spring-loaded diaphragm to reduce the pressure so that a demand-operated flow ensued. Still kept the 2nd hose however. So if you ever watch old episodes of Sea Hunt starring Lloyd Bridges and with the underwater shots mostly done in Silver Springs, FL, you'll notice all the bubbles emerging from the top of the tank and not the divers' mouths. Also notice that when he cut the bad guy's airhose, it was always the 2nd hose, not the supply hose, because all those bubbles emerging from the cut end looked way more dramatic than just the guy choking on water with no bubbles coming out 😛.
