Hey,
I'm a noob when it comes to motherboards....recently I found that my Intel D865GBF CANNOT overclock. Therefore, I am now looking for a new motherboard that can OC my P4 2.4c, so that I do not have to upgrade my processor...at least yet. I am clueless when it comes to finding a particular motherboard that will suit my needs out of the endless list, so any help or direction would be much appreciated. I have looked at the MSI 865PE Neo2-PFS, and other contenders from Abit (IS-7?) and Asus that are within that price range, all of which are selling at a price about equal to what the D865GBF is worth at the moment. Should I look to spend more so that when I upgrade the processor, that is all I will have to do, or should i consider this more of a temporary fix because I will be overclocking? Are these even main things to consider? Basically, I do not know where to start. I just know that I want a stable and quick motherboard.
I'm telling you, the questions are endless
, anybody that decides to respond may get bombarded lol. But seriously, any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
