Hello,
How many solar panels do i need to run a desktop computer that needs 681 watts?

Why not zip off an email to the solar panel support guy at your local solar panel installation company. Probably two to six hundred.

It all depends on how "new" the solar panels are and how big they are. Newer solar panels, i.e. more advanced technology are able to pull in more amps and such with a smaller area, while older ones are unable to do as much. Not to mention, it also depends on where you buy the solar panels from, as some companies have better panels than others.
