Changed GPU from 1080 Aero to 3060 Ventus 12 GB and now cpu runs hot and getting crashes while gaming.
Yesterday upgraded my GPU and getting crashes while gaming also had 2 very strange crashes, the system shut down while gaming and during crash colors became strange for 5 second or so.

CPU screws were loose this helped

Which power supply unit/PSU are you using for the 3060 Ventus ? Sounds like a power issue though this is just my guess for now. Is your CPU having proper thermal paste/heatsink applied ?

How hot do the GPU and CPU get while gaming ? Overheating ? CPU running hot is not directly related to the change/upgrade in GPU though.

PSU: EVGA 550 B5, 80 Plus BRONZE 550W

Haven't changed the heatsink for the CPU but it is a new CPU bought 6 months ago, the cooler is a stock cooler.
3060 Ventus GPU runs around 60-70c while gaming, CPU runs 90-95c while gaming
This wasn't issue with old GPU, with old GPU 1080 Aero GPU was running 80-85c while gaming, and CPU was running 80c while gaming

The Aero is a blower card so more of the air would be leaving your case than with the new one. I'm assuming this is where the difference in temperatures is coming from. Your CPU shouldn't really be getting to 80c let alone 90c+ while gaming.

What case, how many case fans (and installed where), CPU and CPU cooler do you have?

thanks for responding, decided to change reapply paste(had one laying around), and found that somehow cooler screws went loose, that is why CPU was getting hot. fixed now
