Tried posting and reddit and got 0 responses, hoping anyone here can help
I just recently bought a new GPU for my pc and it worked fine for the first day, just a few hours. It was a whole process of it not working and never posting, but I finally got it to work somehow. Next day I went through Afterburner and did my own overclock, nothing crazy, and it worked fine that night. Since then, a couple of days now, it will randomly black screen/crash and the GPU fans will go to 100%. Sometimes I can have my computer on all day no problem, sometimes it doesn't post, sometimes it gets to the home screen and crashes. I have tried to undo Afterburner and remove the OC and it didn't help. Using my old card works just fine. Yes, I am switching graphics drivers every time I swap cards.
Specs:
(Old Card) 3060ti Asus dual fan
(New Card) 4070 Gigabyte Aero
CPU Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16) 3600 C16
MOBO B550 Aorus Elite Ax
PSU Seasonic GX-750W 80+ Gold
Windows 10
It is not an overheating issue, temps never go over 40C Idle and never over 60C under load. I read a few other peoples same issue, is it possible to be a power issue from my surge protector or wall? PSU is only ~2-3 years old, I have 2 separate 8pin PCIE power cables coming from PSU to combine into one 12pin with included adapter.
I haven’t updated my BIOS recently so I will see if that helps later tonight.
