Some issues with a recent homebuilt

Hey everyone!

I just recently bought a foxconn 965 motherboard, a Intel Pentium E5200, and 2x 4gb DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800:

I am having some troubles getting it to work correctly. I turn it on and the fans start but nothing else. No video, no sounds, nothing.

I've unplugged all non essential parts and still behaving in the same way.

Another possible problem could be that your motherboard doesn't support your CPU. Most 965 chipset motherboards don't support the 45nm chips. Some do with a new BIOS, but a lot of them just don't support them at all. I hope you got the motherboard used because it's pretty old.

I'm at work right now and they block Foxconn's website. You'll want to go to their site and check compatibility with the E5200.

Here's a newegg review that scares me:

"Cons: This board is not compatible with 45nm CPUs, i.e. E5200. RMA'd the first board and finally called tech support when the replacement also didn't work. Irked that it's not made more clear which LGA775 procs aren't supported."
