Something is wrong

Hello everybody,
I am doing my first build, and encountered some problems. No matter what I do, the computer will show no signs of whether or not it has turned on. I have verified that everything is plugged in correctly. I have also confirmed that the HDD, PSU and GPU are working. This leaves the mobo and processor as the remaining potential problems. Is there any way I can figure out if something is defective, and if so, which one?

Do any of your fans spin up or any motherboard or case activity lights come on?

No they do not. Absolutely nothing happens.

You said that you confirmed the PSU was good correct? If so that would leave me to believe it is a faulty motherboard. Typically if a CPU is bad you will still get some other activity.
