Question Something wrong with temps

So i've faced something interesting yesterday while gaming. My internal speaker just started beeping. I checked hwinfo (it is running always) and my CPU CCD1 (Tdie) max temp was 204.9°C...
System 1, Chipset, and CPU minimum temps was 2°C.

I've updated my BIOS but that was like 2 weeks ago, so i guess it's not related to this.
Might be a faulty motherboard?

Looks like a faulty sensor. There's no way it could be 2 degrees unless it was sitting in a freezer or had liquid nitrogen cooling.

The sensor is located on the cpu. I recommend sending that in to be replaced.

What about the "System 1", and the "Chipset" 2 °C temps, these values aren't measured by the mobo?

HWINFO64 is the go-to monitoring software. But go ahead an install Ryzen Master and see what it say about the CPU temp.

The problem is that the Ryzen Master doesn't record the values like max/average, only the currently.

It's not always 2°C or 204.9°C, it just happened once.

If it only happened once and never again, I wouldn't worry about it.

Exactly 204,9 c again? That seems to be the max value for that sensor. I would ignore it as long as I dont get other problems. The sensor reads its max value from time to time for whatever reason. Just a faulty measurement.

Allright, so it seems it basically only happens when idling as my experience.
That 2°C for the chipset, system happened once, but this 204.9°C happens atleast once a day for like 1 sec.
