(Somewhat) High spec pc lag!

I just bought my pc and it is lagging really bad the specs are: Intel core i5 7400 and NVidia gtx 1050ti in games like rocket league I am getting 10-15frp plz help!

You've made sure the cable from the monitor to the PC is plugged into the graphics card, and not the motherboard?
