Sony VAIO won't boot to bootable disk

Hi All,

I am trying to repair a computer and I am using a bootable Windows 8 USB drive. In the Bios, my boot order is external Device, Cd-Rom, internal HDD. Boot mode is set to UEFI and Secure boot is enabled.

I go in to Sony care menu (recovery menu) and select Boot from USB and the laptop goes into a boot loop. Any ideas?

Are you sure the information on the USB drive is the correct one and put on the USB drive the correct way? If it was just copied over to the drive it would not work correctly when you try to use it.

It is also possible that the USB drive is defective or damaged.
