[SOLVED] SORTED Is there a more recent bios for asus p5q pro turbo, other than 0701 - 10/08/2012?

Hello everyone. thanks in advance for your time and kind reply.


Recently one friend gave me one LGA771 Xeon X5450 tu put in my board Asus p5q pro turbo wich have the 0701 bios.

Now when i boot, theres allways this message.

to unleash this cpu full power update your bios.

Is there a newer bios other than 0701?

Or its just a message to ignore, sinfce the cpu its not origanily to lga775?

Any help is welcome.

Yes, since you are using an LGA771 CPU on an LGA775 board, and I assume that you used an adapter, there is a modded bios from 2018. Take a look HERE.

UPDATE.

Ok, thanks to you all, i thnik i manege to did the correct, despite i was very afraid of doing something wrong, among all those numbers combined with letter and god knows what else.

The system now on boot doesnt show the mesage anymore, the system is working ok, now i will see how it get along the way.

Does anyone of you know a guide where i can see the overclock for this board? i think the board is the key element in overclock right? just curious, not sure if i will do
