I am currently building a multimedia PC, one of the main functions of this PC is torecord for my band. We have a mixing board(some times called a pre amp) which outputs stereo analog sound. I need a sound card for the PC to allow me to record from this input. Also if anyone knows of a good program to record that would be great, I am using audacity atm.

Thanks for your help :sol:

Anything with a line input should work, though take note most soundcards either lack one, or have it shared with another port. I know the ASUS Xonar D2/D2X has one, but would have to look at other cards to give a definitive answer for them.

You also might want to look at something slightly more professional grade, such as M-audio.
