Sound cutting out intermittently in windows 10?

since upgrading to windows 10, my sound has started to begin cutting out randomly, at first I thought it was just a poor internet connection, but its not affecting other computers etc. The video or game wont lag, there will just be a lack of sound for 1-10 seconds.

i've tried reinstalling the drivers, reinstalling my sound card (Asus Strix Raid), checked all the connections and there does not seem to be an issue.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Sound card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Sound driver.
- Make sure to put a check on Delete the driver software for this device.
- Once uninstalled, download and install the latest driver from ASUS.
- Reboot the PC once the latest driver has been installed.
- Do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.

Problem persists have tried this twice now:/
