Sound doesn't work

Hello.
I have a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 and the sound won't work. It is called High Definition Audio Device. Even when I look up the device (under Device Manager, High Definition Audio Device, and Details -> device id), which is HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_1179FF31&REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5047&SUBSYS_1179FF31, it won't install the driver. Keeps saying could not solve driver issue. I am running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. Thanks.

Hey, something is going on!
When I first checked Toshiba's product support page for this model yesterday, I think I saw only that software package you speak about, as the only downloadable item.

Now that I checked again, there's much more, and the best news: there's sound driver for Vista!

Check it out:

It says "Satellite P105-S6024", so no mistake. Now click on the "Downloads" tab. You can leave "All Operating Systems", and select "Sound" instead of "All categories".

There you go. Vista driver. Direct link...
On the www.pcidatabase.com website you can identify the vendor and the device.

Type 14F1 to the vendor field, it gives "farshad". Click on it. At vendor details it says conexant.

Now look for 5047, and you get an exact type: "Conextant High Definition Audio-Venice 5051"

There's a download link too, which gives a file named "cnet2_sp38314_exe.exe". It's actually a cnet downloader, by running it, it saves a file named "sp38314.exe" (be sure you click "I do not accept" to the "Babylon toolbar"!!!).

I extracted this sp38314.exe, and it contains XP32 and XP64 directories, so it's probably for Windows XP. If it doesn't work, as it is, you can try to set compatibility to Windows XP SP3, and run that way.

I even visited conexant's website to see if it offers current drivers, but it's not. On the http://www.conexant.com/support/ page, it says:

" At the request of these manufacturers, Conexant does not provide end-user support or drivers for PC audio products. If you have an issue with the audio configuration in Windows 7, please contact the manufacturer of your computer. "

That's not very helpful...
