Sound glitch for mkv to mp4

When I play the mkv file raw, both earphones have sound, but when I have converted the mkv to mp4, the sound cuts out on my right headphone.

What program are you using? Sounds like for whatever reason it is getting remuxed into mono sound

I forgot to include this. The original mkv is in 5.1 surround sound.

Strange are you using a preset or is a custom profile?

On the right it says Regular and the thing below that says Normal is selected.

Under the audio tab in the middle, the mixdown says Dolby Pro Logic II

Maybe try changing the mixdown to stereo.

Maybe it is because the Converter you use can't convert 5.1 surround sound. Just try another one to convert MKV to MP4.
