Sound won't work thru hdmi

I have a 20 inch element flat screen tv an I'm trying to make my equisio stick they hdmi cord work an everything works but the sound won't work please help!!

Right click sound icon in the bottom right and select playback devices.

Make sure the TV is set as the default output.

Open Sound Control Panel, select playback devices, and switch default device to HDMI output.

Maybe your streaming stick doesn't support it very well? There are so many awful reviews about it. Also check your TV settings, to make sure the volume is set high enough (it's stupid but check anyway), or that HDMI audio isn't disabled or something. Best of luck to you my friend.
