SP2 Firewall keeps getting disconnected

I just upgraded to WinXP SP2, and selected the option to use the Windows
firewall. But every time I cold boot (i.e., from power off) I get a message
saying "You computer might be at risk. No firewall is turned on. Click
this balloon to fix this problem."

I click the balloon and discover the firewall is not turned on. So I turn
it on, it stays on, and then I power down.

I power back up and get the message again, and discover the firewall is off.

I am also using Zone Alarm Pro, but there was never a conflict with the
Windows Firewall and ZA Pro in SP1.

Anyone know what I might do about this?

Hi

It looks like when having Zone Alarm installed, it is normal
that Windows Firewall is turned off:

Torgeir,

While that may be true, the message she is getting is that *no*
firewall is enabled. If the SC detects a third party firewall
such as ZoneAlarm, it will not warn if the Windows Firewall is
disabled.

I would be concerned, the message indicates that ZoneAlarm is
also disabled, or at the least is not being detected by the SC.

I would suggest checking for an updated version of ZoneAlarm.
I would also check with the SC to see if it lists ZoneAlarm as
a recognised installed firewall.
