Speaker thing came with my new case

hi this thing came with my case, can u tell me what its used for? I know its a speaker, but why do i need it?

You don't necessarily need it. It is just simple speaker for basic sounds.

If you were to encounter problems with your build, you could hook it up to your mobo and it would output error codes in the form of beeps. This is just an example, 2 short beeps could mean there was a problem initializing the CPU.
