Question SpeedFan shows 100% cpu usage while TaskManager shows 30%

Hello! So recently my computer has been running horribly and I've been attempting to diagnose the issue. After trying a bunch of different things, I installed SpeedFans to see what it had to say. To my surprise it's showing near constant 100% cpu usage. Even weirder is that TaskManager is only showing 30% usage. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do? Is this likely the issue I've been having with my computer?

I'm not sure speedfan actually shows usage... try HWMonitor instead. This will give you detailed temperature and per core usage figures.

Considering the last stable release of SpeedFan was 6 years ago, I think it's safe to say it's no longer a reliable program to use.

If you're looking for a temperature monitor app, HWiFNO is great. If you're looking for a fan controlling app (which also has some temperature monitoring features), the aptly named Fan Control works wonders.

Probably one software is showing single core utilization and
the other software is showing average utilization of all cores.

But I'm not sure, what Speedfans software you're talking about, because normal Speedfan shows temperatures, fan speeds and voltages. It doesn't show cpu usage.
