Hi everyone I am changing my monitor from this https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-U2879VF-Inches-LED-Monitor/dp/B0163JLIWU AOC U2879VF 28 Inches 4K LED Monitor - 60hz Black monitor to an alienware 240hz to a Alienware AW2518H 24.5 Inch TN Anti-Glare LED-backlit LCD Gaming Monitor (Black Grey) (1 ms Response Time, Full HD 1920 x 1080 at 240 Hz, NVidia G-Sync, DP/HDMI, USB).

I have an aurora r6 with a Nividia Geforce GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5. The resolution in my current system is high, will getting a smaller 1080 screen improve performance?

Does anyone more techminded than me know what the pluses and minuses of such a move will be?
Thanks in advance!

1080p may look a bit strange and pixelated as you are going from a pixel density of 157 pixels per inch to 90 pixels per inch but you will likely get used to it, i would also instead reccomend a 144hz monitor as the 1070 wont get anywhere close to 240fps, so instead i would reccomend the asus VG258Q, as that is almost exactly the same except it is cheaper and has a lower refresh rate.
