Hello all, I am using a IBUYPOWER PC, I purchased it about 2 years ago and I have upgraded it quite a bit since then. ANYWAY, when I purchased it came with Windows 8, I, as of last night, just upgraded to Windows 8.1. I had to do this to claim my free copy of the upcoming Windows 10. So I am pretty anal about my pc and it's going's on's. I am constantly tweaking and making sure everything gets put where its suppose to go. I love my Auslogics Computer Software.
Nevertheless. I have a wireless Creative Tactic 3D Wrath headset I use for gaming, and or listening to Pandora while I'm fiddling with my homework in another room.
When I am not using the headset I am using the on-board sound card a Realtek High Definition Audio board. Works fine.
After the upgrade last night I started getting the (SPI Creative x-Fi module has stopped working) error. Here is the actual copied error report -

Funny thing is, I don't have an on-board or even a PCI board Creative sound card, other than the one that's in the Wrath Headset. I uninstalled all Creative drivers, rebooted.. received the error. I DL'ed the most recent Tactic 3D Wrath Driver and installed it, and rebooted. I received the error. I let it set overnight with automatically DL and install all Microsoft drivers going, I restarted today and I am still receiving the error. So here I am. Can anyone help me with this. I will gladly edit my registry keys to stop this annoying issue. However, I would much rather find the problem and address it.

Thanks for your time folks, and luck and loot to you.

The error is most likely being caused by a registry corruption. Try uninstalling the drivers again, then on reboot, use Driver Cleaner in Safemode to clean up the registry, then reboot again. That should fix your error issues.

Hello NWAG, i did as ou instructed and cleaned out all of the Cretive drivers and any reference there-of, the error is still popping up. My 3D Tactic Wrath Headset is working great, however the error still pops up when I reboot/restart windows. It never pops up other than the one time...
