So, my computer is very old (2008) did not hold well windows 7, so I decided to bring it to Windows XP.
After the installation, the message "error starting the operating system" appeared.
Ok... I reboot the computer and try to reinstall. Splash screen, locked, I couldn’t do anything, not even the, tab, f10, nothing...
I thought of unplugging the sata date cable of the HDD, and it gave me access to the BIOS, I tried to boot USB with windows 11 setup, and again the setup of Windows XP to check where the problem was. The two setups were done correctly, I am convinced that the problem is the HDD.
The HDD has two partitions, C: (100MB) and D: (230kMB), 250GB total, I think that the file system is corrupted, or that in C: there is some information that goes against those in D:, actually I formatted only D:C: was about 50MB available on 100MB.
I also tried resetting the CMOS, it didn’t help...
