Hey Toms., not sure if this is the right thread to be posting but oh well =D

Anyway, I just downloaded the new Splinter Cell game free from the promotion I got with my new GTX 770 and I am noticing some major issues.

I can only run the game on medium settings at 1080p in order to hold 60fps but all the while my CPU is at 100% usage and my GPU is only at around 55/60%.
My drivers are all up to date and freshly installed (326.80 Beta) and I am having no issues whatsoever in any other game.

I have a feeling this is just a crappy launch, anyone else suffering?

MSI GTX 770 Gaming 2GB
Intel i5-2500k @ 4.50GHz
8GB SAMSUNG DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz (2x4)

I found my issue to be the game only selects two cores for Processor Affinity. This game is very CPU-intensive, so two cores doesn't cut it. You have to change the exe Affinity to All Processors in Task Manager every time a new level loads - including the Paladin... I've got a ticket with Ubi support. Hopefully they'll fix in a patch.

I'm having the same problem......although I'm not so sure if it's a problem with the game or my hardware, because in Batman Origins and Assassin's Creed III I'm experiencing framedrops too....it gets to 20 something.....on the other hand, Tomb Raider works perfect on ultra. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed. My specs are:

AMD FX 8150 3.6GHz
Gigabyte GTX 770 OC 4GB
8GB RAM
Asus M5A88-M motherboard
OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W PSU

My games are installed on an external HD, but I've heard it doesn't make much difference.........does it?

Yes, the external HDD will be limited to the bandwidth of the interface you have it hooked up with. USB 3.0 and eSATA may just cut it for most things - in that case your problem is most likely your CPU. Need to overclock that thing - Bulldozer FXes don't get good until they run at 4.5GHz.

I've never overclocked anything, so I don't know exactly how to do it...my main concerns would be if my PSU would be able to handle it and if I wouldn't screw up the CPU, overheat, etc....I'll try to learn.....thanks.
