I guess you must be talking about the Overflow server issue... which isn't a problem anymore... there's still overflow instances, yes, but they don't effect anyone in a negative way anymore, and the world feels very populated and alive compared to, for example, SWTOR's over-instanced world. When the overflow instances were an issue, there was such a huge amount of concurrent players that other MMOs would have suffered crashes, lag issues, and huge queue times. GW2 had none of that. The Trade Post is also running well now, btw, despite handling an absolutely absurd amount of transactions. Anyone that was actually playing during GW2's launch could affirm that it went pretty smoothly, actually.
The game itself is outstanding. Probably the most intuitive, well thought out, polished MMO I've ever seen. It's a freaking marvel, really. I started to add up all these little touches they made to make the player experience better, and hit a point where I was actually in a bit of shock. You stare at it realizing, "Wow, this is the new high standard. No one has done it this well before."
- I've asked in the general chat (map chat in GW2), if ANYONE regretted their purchase of GW2, and couldn't find a sole. No one.
Meanwhile, when I took a look at FF14, people were getting lost trying to find the exit to the starter city, and openly volunteering their opinion that the game was a total POS.
