[SOLVED] SSD Enclosure Connection Issues

I was gifted this to use with an ssd: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OJ3UJ2S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cmfuCbVZMA2GG so returning it really isn't an option. I plugged in an inland 120gb ssd. I tested it on my laptop USB 3.0 port and it worked great but speeds were a bit slow. I tried it ony PC (I use a pcie 1x to 4xUSB 3.0 and the card has molex power) and the speed test would fail and windows would spam my ears with disconnect and reconnect sounds on the speed test. I figured my USB card couldn't give it the power it needed, so I bought a powered USB 3.0 hub (https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264040821989). The powered hub only delayed the time until the ssd started disconnecting but speeds doubled. IDK if the speeds doubled because of a better CPU but 2x performance seems a bit strange. It seems to only have connection issues when being used but at idle it's fine.

Not much to do here, you can test with a few more systems and ports, try another cable, get another enclosure.
