SSD giving ridiculously slow speeds

My SSD is hit or miss, one day it will have decent speeds of +400MB/s the next I will be down to around 11MB/s. I see no pattern to it, I have TRIM'd it, checked it was in a Intel SATA 3 port, switched ports, and checked the firmware.

This is the SSD with the excrutatingly slow speeds

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is minimal usage when I perform the benchmark. I only store my games on that drives and when I go to start a game I notice constant freezing so I'll quit the game and run the benchmark after waiting a moment and it will give me those slow speeds. Typically if I shutdown my computer and wait a while and boot it back up it will be completely fine, if that indicates anything.

Same results with Samsung Magician and CrystalDiskMark, and I honestly have no idea what I'm looking at in Process Explorer.

I'm assuming since Crystal's was marginally better it is leaning towards some process that is causing the issue? I am not seeing anything noteworthy in either Task Manager or Process Explorer though once again I don't know what I am looking at in Process Explorer.

Try doing as Samsung Magician suggests and running OS and Performance optimization. You do clearly have a problem, but it's hard to nail down exactly what without more tests. You can also try checking Windows Security & Maintenance in Control Panel to check for issues. I still don't think it's likely to be the SSD itself, although it is a possibility.

POR Recovery Count goes up every time there is an unsafe shutdown in Windows. You Power on count is high too. You've turned on your computer almost 38,000 times in just 800 hours?

I have 17,000 hours running on my SSD and only 58 power on count

-It does typically run warmer than my other two SSD's even though it is next to an intake fan. I don't have hard numbers for it yet though.

-I updated the bios and the chipset

-Samsung Magician says Performance optimization is not available on Windows 8 or higher and OS optimization is set to Maximum Reliability, previously set to Maximum Performance

-Checked Windows & Security and didn't find any issues

-I don't think the S.M.A.R.T. data is correct as my other SSDs that I have had years longer have around 1,000 Power On count and less than 200 POR Recovery count
