So, I've got an ASUS PRIME B250M-A motherboard and I'be recently purchased a new Gigabyte Aorus Nvme RGB SSD.
First I installed it in the M.2_2 slot and checked my BIOS and it was showing there. Then I started my pc and went to disk management to initialize it to clone OS to it from my HDD. But it did not show there nor in any other partition software. I tried many things but it didn't work.
Finally I installed it in M.2_1 started my computer and it showed in disk management. I initialised it and cloned OS to it and changed it to boot drive and it was working fine. I thought of checking it by putting it in M.2_2 and Windows was not booting. It only works in M.2_1. Any way M.2_2 could work as I heard it has better bandwidth?

Not being familiar with your MB, I would imagine that the M.2_2 port may be a SATA-only connection point.

Your MB manual can clarify the matter for you.
Here it’s mentioned both support pcie.
