I'm a bit confused by something. I've been having problems with my HDD, the usage is always at 100% when i try to use something in it, causing apps and games to lag. File transfer is also sluggish. At times my HDD would even disconnect. At these times i restart my pc only for it not booting, restarting again to perform an auto repair........on the my C: drive where i have my OS and not my HDD, weird.

I did however check event logs and it says i have errors for months on hardrive1/DR1

downloaded WinObj to check to which disk he is referring to and Harddisk1 doest match volume6 which is my C: drive and not my e: drive HDD where I'm having freezes. I try to move and install stuff on my c drive and everything there works better.

Also my HDDs write speed is really really slow.

I don't get it, why am i having errors about my SSD C: drive when it's the HDD e: drive behaving badly?

Use CrystalDiskInfo to get screenshots of both drives SMART output. Host thos screenshots on an image sharing site, such as imgur, and provide links to them here for us please.

A screenshot of your disk management window might come in handy as well.
Thanks.

Also used HDtune to check errors and speed

SSD speeds are normal but did encounter red blocks (bad blocks) and my HDD doesnt even let himself read and the speeds are horrible. gives error on write speeds, saying its disabled

No classic/obvious issues jumping out in CrystalDiskInfo that one usually sees in a failing drive...

You can try another SATA port/SATA data cable and even SATA power source, just to quickly rule those out...

Just to rule out the fact that spinning HDDs are/can be like watching paint dry sometimes...

Naturally, if just launching something from a spinning drive after an hour of no access, it might easily take a full 10-15 seconds to even spin back up to speed if normal power saving is enabled...
Certainly it will also stay busy whenever you have hundreds and hundreds of MB or several GB to read/write from/to it like when launching any game installed to one, and for several seconds or minutes at a time...(the 'benchmark-like' 100+ MB/sec transfers only happen in sequential reads/writes occasionally...)

Anymore, I just use spinning drives for storage of 'need occasionally' things worth storing, where installation/storing all OS, and applications is increasingly on SSDs these days....

Run a GSmartControl short and long test...

If those pass, I;d say the drive is doing as it should...; you can try (if it were some glitch) removing needed data from it, deleting paritions. quick formatting, and reinitializing it within Admin Tools/Storage

I already did the long scan with WD's benchmark program. Did not show errors.

I did change change cables and all of that, cleaned any dust it may had have.

After performing all these tests the HDD disappeared after reboot, but if i power down the PC he appears again. It's just running even slower now. It lags the windows explorer and icons take a long time to appear

I also forgot to tell. When i chenged the cables and all that stuff for a day he seemed to be performing well, even multi tasking while gaming. The day after, back at it again.

Do you have check your system for virus? Virus also do causes lags and eat up your valuable resources. I might suggest you run a virus scan on the whole system. I might sounds stupid but who knows that can be the cause too.

Hello again. To finalize this thread, today Fred took out the "monsters mask" and the guilty was the HDD. I asked a friend to use my HDD in his PC and his PC couldn't even boot, just like mine today. Fresh installed Windows 10 on my SSD to get a fresh start here, now time to buy another SSD for my apps and games. What brand you recomend? I hear good things about Samsung
