SSD recommendation and compatibility

Hello, wanted to ask if a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 is compatible with my h97m anniversary motherboard. Wanted to buy an ssd for my OS, WoW, and Steam and budget is pretty tight, it's either I buy a 120 gb 850 evo or a 240gb cheaper brand, what would you guys recommend? also brands if possible, can't buy any ssd online here that's cheap btw and no black friday sale.

Considering that motherboard doesn't have an M.2 slot in the first place...

And what is "here"? If you put a location then others on here from the same area can make better recommendations.

An 850 Evo would work, but it'd have to be the SATA version, they're identical anyway.

Philippines, about $70 since I'm buying a new case too. Some brands being sold here that are easier to find are Kingston UV400, V300, Intel 520/535 series, Samsung Pro, Adata SP900, and some sandisk variants, Cruical ssd's are pretty overpriced here.
