SSD sometimes recognized?

I have an OCZ petrol 64 GB SSD. Sometimes it is not recognised and won't boot. To sort this I have to load default settings on bios (sometimes works) or unplug and replug to another SATA port.

My specs:
Intel i5-3450
AMD radeon hd 6870
OCZ ModstreamXpro 450w
OCZ petrol SATA 2(I think) 64gb
Stock cooler
Saverstore 4gb ram

Have you tried updating it's firmware ?
