Hello Everyone,

I have a crucial m4 120 gb SSD and a 1TB HDD. It is great and i love having an SSD but i am constantly maintaining the SSD space and it gets kinda annoying. I want to add a second SSD but i have some questions.

If i get x2 SSD and set them up in raid will my system only be as fast as my slowest SSD? Would it just be better to buy a larger SSD and sell my current m4 or maybe just throw it into my laptop?

Solution
Well...RAID on SSD's is not the greatest idea. You can add in another one, and just use them as C & D (or whatever). I have two like that, both 128Gb drives. Works like any other drive, axcept you have to be sure TRIM is running on the second SSD. Sometimes, it is not automatic.

Or just get a larger one.

What do you have installed on the SSD?
I think this is more of a space management issue, rather than a drive too small issue.

Move some stuff to the HDD.

I have my OS, as well as programs that i like the speed of the SSD on like photoshop, illustrator, endnote. I like to install a one time through game on my SSD so i get quick loads between chapters but I keep most of my games/programs that I don't care for quick loads on my HDD. Plus a lot of software doesn't like to run from HDD like itunes and crap like that and my SSD is just slowely but surely filling up.
