SSD vs H100i ??

CPU - AMD 8350 Black Edition
GPU - EVGA Geforce GTX 970
MOBO - Sabertooh 990fx R2
RAM - 16gb G.Skill Ares 1866

remaining budget will either get me liquid cooling or a SSD. Which would be the most beneficial right now, with the other being purchased a few months down the road?

I already have a full build, everything I'm doing here are just upgrades to my current build.

Get the h100i. SSD's prices are continuously falling bit by bit.

Depends do you want to redo the hardware or software?

If you get the H100 first you can your case essentially all setup and cables done/hidden. However you will have to reinstall software when you get the SSD.

If you get the SSD first your software can all be setup, but you'll be back in the case again to redo the heatsink.

Are you planning on over clocking? If not I don't see any reason to go water cooling, you are unnecessarily adding risk.

The SSD will give you faster boot times - especially with Windows 8 or later. You can get sub 5 second boot times....

The water cooler is cool....but unless you are overclocking the CPU/GPU, you won't have much benefit....

The CPU and GPU you listed are already fast. You don't really need to overclock. get a good air cooler and an SSD.

Do you have a drive for your operating system now? If not and you get the watercooler, your rig is going to be collecting dust until you get an SSD or HDD. If the SSD is going to be your OS drive, I'd recommend getting that now and just hold off on any overclocking until you get a cooler better than the stock cooler.

with the remaining budget, ditch the amd cpu and mobo and go intel i5. It will be faster than any overclocked 8350 (for gaming)
