Standard VGA driver

Was wondering if anyone knew which CAB files the standard VGA driver is located in or if there is a download location for the file? All internet searches turn up the same response that if I start in Safe Mode or use the F8 boot menu to Enable VGA Mode then my problem will be solved. Alas this has not helped. My system still seems adamant to use VGA Save which is certainly botched as it has the oh so worrisome yellow exclamation mark and no info under the device info. Also removing and then reinstalling doesnt work. Have XP CD in drive and even enabled access to Windows Update and the system still tells me it cannot find a driver for the device. Has really got me ticked this and no manner of googling seems to have helped.

Thanks in advcance

Sorry in my frustration forgot the basics.

Gigabyte K8-NSNXP 939
2 GB Crucial mem
AMD 64 X2 4400+
Saphire ATI HD 3850 AGP
Windows XP Pro

Was updating the graphics drivers to the latest version. Upon uninstalling the old via the ATI utility the system restarted as per usual. Upon reboot though it decided to install VGA Save and not the Standard VGa driver. ATI install program now tells me that no compatible hardware is installed.

You need to manually install the driver..

Right click on my computer -> Click manage

A new window will open..

On the list, click on the Device Manage or Device Manager (what ever is listed).

Now on the right hand side of the window, a list of devices will show up.

Look of Display, right click on it and click on Update Driver.

A new window will pop-up.... you need to select the option to browse the driver from the computer.

If you are not able to resolve the issue, email me at reyachh@yahoo.com or you can contact me through skype. My skype ID is - reyachh
