StarCraft 2 Trashed by Gamers, Called Incomplete

I liked the game... i cracked it though, so i didnt have to deal with the internet stuff. I thought the graphics were fine, and it ran perfectly. Story was a little short though, the only dissappointment.

I like it. I feel like it was worth the wait and the money. The only thing I hate is no lan play.

I was bad at the original, and I find SC2 to be slightly easier. It definitely plays better.

Definitely worth the 60 dollars. The campaign provided tons of hours of enjoyment. It may be a cliff hanger, but so was Halo 2. The multiplayer may not be balanced, but Starcraft 1 took many years of tweaking and balancing too.

I can understand complaining, and I was really wanting more and more and more from the campaign too. But it provides way more entertainment than 90 percent of the games today. Well done Blizzard, at first I said "hell no" to 180 dollars for 1 game, but now I'm really considering it.

Bravo on bringing back units from Starcraft 1 :)

Haters gonna hate. I am really enjoying SC2 so far. I was caught up in the campaign so much that when I checked the time, it was 2am. Now i'm dragging at work, lol. Looking forward to getting home and firing it up tonight!

You're the reason they have this stupid DRM anyway...

A review embargo? Bullsh*t! Buy a retail copy of the game (Jane already did that), and release a damn article. What, are you afraid that 5 years from now when they release Diablo III, Blizzard won't give you any cool pre-release screen shots?

Sounds to me like I was lucky that the $45 pre-order deal from Dell sold-out, its not even worth that much if I gotta keep an internet connection (I must have stopped following all the articles before that one was revealed). My connection has a nasty habit of dying over the weekends and I need offline play available.

The Latin American version cost $165 usd and only have the option to install in Portuguese or Spanish, the sound is terrible the shortcuts changed and no option to play world wide or English install! Spanish/Portuguese translated sux !!

What the hell is a review embargo? Pony up $60 and go buy yourself a copy and review it! What does Consumer Reports have to do game reviews now too? 😱)

title should be SC2 trashed by pirates and whiners.

If no lan, 3 episodic format, and classic RTS format wasn't widely known and was just sprung at release I can understand.

it's obvious all the whiners already know about these issues but are just whining for whining sake. if you whine and still bought it and still continue to whine, you're just pathetic.

The campaign is great and there has been placed lots of worked that makes you feel much more involved(a bit like Mass Effect) instead of just sitting there and watching heads talk. Though if all you are there for is single player then Dawn of War starts to look good for the money.

I noticed that at voodooextreme a vote was taken, 'did you pre-order SC2?', that kind of thing. Most people responded 'not interested' (ie: not interested in the game at all).

Being an original SC player, I am stunned at how many gamers today are totally uninterested in the game.

IMO It shows a startling lack of ignorance about what a quality game is, to turn your nose up at this title completely or whine about what actually are great graphics, and state of the art, or the lack of Lan support.

Gamers are pretty whiny these days. 20+ years of gaming and I've never had a problem with paying 50 dollars for a game that gave me 50 hours of enjoyment. Most gave me less and I still didn't pitch a fit unless it was really awful and gave me less than an hour of enjoyment.
Get off my lawn you whippersnappers.

Definitely worth $60 bucks. People are retarded for complaining. Blizzard has never made a bad game since Starcraft 1 and their dedication to the PC gaming industry is ... well industry leading.

A review embargo means that they know the game has flaws and they fear they are fatal, bad enough to cost them.
So they place an embargo hoping people will buy because of the hype, when they feel their pockets full enough they will be confident enough to finish giving us fans the middle finger.

[citation][nom]jefe323[/nom]All of the issues brought up in the player reviews were brought up long before the game was released...shoulda done their research before buying[/citation]
True, nothing mentioned by those complaints is new or shocking. Everything was outlined by Blizzard beforehand. Although I'm still very disappointed at the lack of LAN support, it was well documented and well known long before even the beta was released.

And a question to the Author: When will the embargo be lifted? I was wondering why there weren't any reviews available yet.

I think the game is fine, we were aware of these things before the game was released. If you weren't happy with these "issues" you should not have bought the game. The graphics are great, the story is excellent, and the cinematics are superb. It's everything I expected and more.
