I have a StarTech 2 port KVM - HID HDMI. I was having problems with my previous keyboard and bought a Corsair K100 to replace. Plugging keyboard into KVM doesn't allow the keyboard to work. I see other have the same issue. Apparently Corsair app ICUE causes issue/
Does anyone have a work around? I ordered a switch USB to see if that will work.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

My suspicion is that the software driver supplied by Corsair with that keyboard is the source of your problem. IF that driver ONLY looks for the keyboard in a particular place (like a USB2 port) and not anywhere else, it may never find the keyboard plugged into another USB hub device.

So MAYBE this could work. Go into Device Manager and look for the keyboard. RIGHT-click on that and try to UPDATE (replace) the driver. Then YOU choose which driver to use, and I suggest you use a generic keyboard driver supplied with Windows. When done, back out, reboot and try again. See if the keyboard can be used through the KVM unit.

WARNING! IF this works, you may well find that iCUE can NOT "see" the keyboard any more. That means that any keyboard customization setting or special functions provided thought iCUE cannot be used! So if you need any of those extra features of that keyboard, so NOT do this.

I agree with that. I just got the switch USB. I'll give that a try with the KVM.

Supposedly there are newer KVM's (what a Suprise) that have what's call DDM and that will cure the problem. They are pricy and I don't see one with HDMI and HID. Some with DP but not HDMI.

Post back when I get a chance to try switchable USB.
