I am new here and obviously upon seeing the subject you might flame me for asking, but I assure you I have searched and there is no post which completely explains this the way I need it.
I currently use a Sony Vaio which is the family computer, and real soon (with the help of all the wonderful guides here) I will be building my own computer which will go in my room. Also already in my room is a Playstation 2, which I have a Network Card for it but can not use it yet. Beginning to see where this question is going? As I finish buying parts for my computer I have saved around $200 extra in hopes of that being enough to borne a wireless network for my house. The cable outlet is in this room (the computer room) and hooked up to the computer in this room (Sony Vaio running Win ME). I wish to put the cable on the new computer and PS2 also, and since I am not allowed to have showing cables or drills holes wireless is my only solution. My room is down the short hall (I know it is in range). What exactly will I need in terms of equipment, and what will I need to do with it. Sorry for dragging this out but I want to make sure you understand the situation before posting.
Thanks,
AJ Roberts
