static IP is still dynamic

In theory, my ISP (SBC) has changed my account from dynamic IP to static IP.
When I enter the static IP they assigned me in my Netgear FVS328 router, a
dynamic IP is still being assigned. What is the most likely source of the
problem, my ISP or the router configuration?

I called SBC Technical Support. They said the router IP should be
configured as "Get Dynamically from ISP" for both dynamic and static IP
addressing. They will then assign the static IP address.
