Static Mic Noise using Fraps

Hey all,

I am using the Logitech G930 Headset, and I am currently having a problem when using Fraps to record, with Win7 Sound selected, my mic becomes static and the mic quality worsens. However, when I deselect Win7 sound, the static effect is gone, and the mic quality is perfect. Does anybody know a way around this? (I still want to use Fraps)

I had the same problem when I was recording. If you go to the bottom right hand corner of your desktop and right click the sound button, if I remember correctly it's playback devices and there's an option somewhere there where you can turn down the D.b of your mic, this should solve the problem. But as I say something called playback devices just try to get into the mic settings and looking for D.b.
