So I am currently building my first gaming PC. I've basically finished except my GPU still hasn't arrived. I decided to do a test boot, knowing perfectly well that my CPU does not have integrated graphics.
My build is as follows:
Ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte B450 Aorus M
T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3000mhz
Samsung 970 Evo 250GB
NZXT H510
Thermaltake Smart 430W
GTX 1650 Super (Still shipping)
I plugged in my HDMI cable from my motherboard to my monitor, and my power supply to the wall outlet. I then turned on my PC.
I got no output (I was expecting this).
What I did get, however, was some green strip of LEDs from the motherboard (also expected), and, more importantly, a red CPU status light.
All the fans turned on.
So my question is this: Is that red light a result of not having integrated graphics i.e any way to put anything through the HDMI cable?
