I have just got a very cheap build it cost £114 alltogether it features a core 2 duo 2.66ghz 4gb of ram and I bought a nvidia gt 730 but it can't even run steam without lagging is this normal?

Solution
You only have 4 GB of RAM. CTRL+ALT+DELETE and look at your RAM useage in task manager. If you're at or very close to your 4 GB limit, sort your applications by RAM useage. See what is taking up all your memory useage. Try and close a few non-critical items so that you're using closer to 3.5 or 3GB.

When you say steam is laggy, do you mean your games while you are playing, or navigating the steam client itself? Also are you only using steam when this happens, or do you have a browser open and other programs such as discord or skype?

What operating system are you using?

Windows 10

My ram is at 133 MHz and is using 1.3gb and the lagging is constant my disk keeps going from about 8% to 100

I'm really sorry for wasting your time and I should of done this earlier but I restarted and now it's a lot better however we have another problem, my internet is running at about 9 fu**ing bytes to 2kb/s :/

In the downloads tab check what server your downloading from. Make sure it is something close by.
