Question Still no video after installing cpu in second mb.

After getting no video signal from the first build, I have installed the cpu into a different mb and still no video signal.
My first build:
MB: Asus P5K-VM
CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600
PSU: 465W
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB 667MHz DDR2 DIMM
Fans: cpu and rear case
Power switch and speaker are only cables from front that are attached.
Second build:
MB: Asus P5KPL-CM
Everything else as above.
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2243swx; VGA input; otherwise works fine.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

That cpu has no graphics processor in it.

Thanks for responding. Apparently the first mb i tried (Asus P5K-VM) does have onboard graphics so I think I will put the cpu back into that one to rule out a graphics issue.

Actually they both have 3100 integrated graphics on them now that you mentioned it. Did you install the vga /intel video graphics accelerator driver?

Could I install the driver by putting the hd in another machine as a second drive? Without video working on this build I can't think of any other way to install the driver.
