Hello all,
I am a new member, just joining up today because I have an important question to ask.
I know all about the Intel Sandy Bridge chipset recall that happened recently, but I am still looking to purchase the ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard if possible. I purchased all the parts to build a new computer for my boss at work, including the i5-2500k, and unfortunately my order for the ASUS P8P67 Pro was cancelled due to the recall. I tried purchasing the motherboard from other resellers with no success.
The reason why it is so important to find this motherboard now is because everything I've heard says that motherboards with the fixed chipset won't likely start shipping till April, and that is too far away for us. I'm being requested to build this computer as soon as possible, and I don't believe April will cut it.
I was hoping that someone knew of a place where I still may be able to purchase this motherboard, or even the P8P67 Deluxe. I'm willing to deal with the replacement process later down the road, but this computer is only going to have SATA ports 0 & 1 in use because all it will have is an optical drive and one hard drive. If I recall correctly, it's only the other SATA ports that are effected by the degradation over time.
I'd appreciate any help i can get on the matter! Thanks all for your time
