STINKULAR internet (GSM) access FOUL!

I just got rid of all internet access on my two Cingular T720s. Seems I was
LIED TO by more than one manager/rep who told me I could use my Minutes for
GPRS access and not this rip off 1MB 6.99 mo. plan they had set up. Anyone
know of a company out there that will do this? AT&T does not either I was
told by a co worker. I need wireless access from my laptop via a USB or
serial cable and can't seem to get it.

Cingular Customer NOService, Tech NOSupport, and GSM in SID 34 all rate
about a 2/5 or as we used to call them when grades were real measures a "D"
They don't give those in school anymore much because it might offend
someone.... Whew.... Let the undercover Cingular employees flame away
cause it will never affect me.

They have a plan that is unlimited and uses your minutes, but it is CSD, not
GPRS. They also have an unlimited GPRS, out only available in a package with
txt and MMS messaging. It will run you $20.

SprintPCS doesnt support it, states it against the TOS, but apparently
allows it in moderation (up to 5 Gig a month) for its "Vision" customers.

Just go to their website if you can't get a CSR to activate it for you. It
is all there. The dial in that uses your minutes is called "wireless
internet". The GPRS (non dial-in) is "wireless internet express". The
package with unlimited GPRS is called " MEdia Works".

When you are differentiating between dial-in and non dial-in, what do you
mean? When I go in a set up a GPRS connection through Mobile PhoneTools, it
sets up what looks like a dialup connection. It even has a number that is
dialed during the connection process (something like *99***1# if I remember
correctly). In connecting in this way, is this what you are referring to as
the GPRS connection or am I using my minutes connecting like this in your
understanding??

That is using the GPRS. The "dial-in" that uses your minutes is an actual
phone number.
