I was playing around with HWMonitor and I noticed something odd.

3 cores of my CPU turbo'ed to 3.9 ghz even though they were pretty much idle. At one point 2 of them hit 4.4 ghz.

Doesn't Ryzen 5 2600 only turbo to around 3.9 ghz?

Is this normal?

System was set to "Power saver" mode

Solution

Your first set of cores is higher than your second set of cores, which is not normal but doesn't mean there's something wrong with it. I suggest u download Ryzen Master app from AMD's official website and have a look there.

P.S: As long as temperatures aren't through the roof, you don't need to worry. It may also be just a display bug, try a different monitoring software.
