Hey Guys,
I'm trying to fix a friends computer. I constantly get stop error 0x50 "page fault at non_paged area". I've run memtest86 and found no errors with the ram. I've even tried the ram out of my computer and it's given me the same error. It happens while booting into win xp. The xp boot logo appears, and then as it's about to enter into XP the BSOD occurs. I've attempted a repair with the cd, but the BSOD occurs there as well. I've unplugged the CD-ROM, the same error has occured. I've disabled the GPU and tried onboard video, but again the same error occurs. I've pulled the HDD and connected it to a dock. There doesn't seem to be any issue with the HDD either. No problems with it turning on, and being detected. The last thing I can think of is the ram slots on the mobo is fried, or possibly the PSU isn't providing sufficient power. I'd provide a minidump file, but windows isn't set up to save them, and there's no way for me to change that.
If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated.
