storage is important

Solution
Hi there High_Technology,

You should really provide some more information on the issues you are facing.
Are we talking about internals or externals? What is your system's configuration? What do you mean by damage?

If you are facing some issues with any of your drives, you need to back up the important data stored on them. After that, you can test it with one of these: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Let me know how this goes,

I don't understand what you're asking either. We need more info.

Now if your storage devices such as HDD's SSD are being damaged could be a power issue. I've seen this in the past with IDE drives where a faulty PSU was working for the most part, but kept taking out HDD's and CD/DVD drives. I went threw 3 HDD's before I change the power source and I never had a problem since. I've had cheap HDD enclosure take out drives as well. If its common issue, look at the power source.

If your talking about SD cards of some sort, cheap ones tend to not last long, but some will last forever. I have a 2TB drive I've had since 2011 finally start showing uncorrectable sectors, its got well over 50,000 hours on it so its to be expected because of its age. Old drives typically over 5years can be sometimes be unreliable all out fail without warning.

But we do need more info, you can download CrystalDiskInfo to check how many hours and the status of the drives.
