Hello Everyone

I have been working on this crappy PC from my Friend. It was to Remove An Affected Windows 7 and Downgrade back to Windows XP Pro SP3 X86.I did notice something REALLY Strange in the Booting Process. Here it goes

1) Power On,Numlock Light Comes
2) A Stationary White Cursor that doesn't Blink appears and Stays there for sometime Say,30 seconds.
3) Suddenly,It goes away and BIOS Splash screen comes up
4) She boots up perfectly fine with XP

What bothers me is even after I Reset BIOS,CMOS,Completely Remove everything from HDD and Reinstall Windows,Update Drivers and Controllers,I just can't fix this Issue. It just eats a lot of time for Bootups.

Specs

Intel Atom 230 1.6 Ghz HT CPU
2 GB DDR2 666 MHz RAM
Intel D945GCLF Mobo
Seagate 500 GB HDD (SATA)
LG CD Drive (IDE)
Windows XP Professional x86 SP3

Please help me on this
Thanks

Yea your best bet is to update that bios lol he should have done that a while ago. Maybe the...
I think that the PC is waiting for something. But,The PC is Stuck up during this time. But when the Cursor goes,All Lights including the 3 Keyboard Lights,Optical Drive Light,HDD and Power Light Flashes once and BIOS Splash Appears and she boots fine.

That's what I was saying but He doesn't wanna Throw her away (Emotional Attachment). So I am having this one Option - Remove everything From Case,Clean Wires,Sockets,Pins,Heatsink,Reset CMOS,Reconnect All the Wires,Reassemble back into Case.Boot to Windows and Install Latest BIOS Update.I just recently discovered that the BIOS Version is the First Version that came with it.It's a Very Old Version and Hopefully Intel may have worked upon this and many other issues with the Board

Solution

The HDD is Fine.No Clicking or No Unusual Sounds from that,I didnt lose any Data.I am gonna Update the BIOS and See if that worked. If Newer BIOS Still didn't Didnt fix it,If I am Defenitly buying an SSD.

EDIT - July 9th, Fixed it (70%,As the Cursor is still there but for onlya Mich shorter time if 6 seconds) and made it much Faster

Things for Solution - Latest BIOS Update from Manufacturer,iOBit Driver Booster 2 for Installing Latest Drivers automatically,Latest Firmware Updates for stuff like SSDs.etc,Latest Windows Updates,A Slightly Wet Towel,A Soft Type Paint Brush,Vaccum Cleaner or Air Blower and some knowledge about Building a PC

Solution - BIOS Update and Reset,Run Windows Update,Update All Programs like (iTunes,VLC,Chrome.etc),Device Drivers Update using Driver Booster 2 and Firmware Update,New SATA or IDE Cables (Optional) Hardware Cleanup with Dissassembly and a Rebuild with much better and cleaner Cable Management

Yes,It is a very Exhausting and a Tedious Job but it was surely worth a Shot.Windows Booted up much Faster,Opens Apps much Faster,Animations work much Smoother,Internet 'feels' faster (Maybe a Placebo),System runs more Cooler and Much Less Noise Caused by Fans and HDD

Solution In short - Disassemble Clean,Reassemble,Start up,Reset and Update Everything !

Thanks
